I've finally made the rank of Specialist. Even though I've technically been one since November, I just got pinned today. Good things are going to start happening to me now...

Congratulations, Specialist!
I thought PFC was the coolest rank until I made Corporal and saw that Specialists make the same coin but don't have to conduct health and welfare/additional duty formations, sign for the sensitive items on missions, conduct urinalysis or attend staff meetings.
Actually, every new rank was the coolest until I faced E-8 BN Ops Sergeant or Company 1SG; then realized that E-7 was what I liked best because I still got to work with troops.
Is that a "The Jerk" reference? (The new phone books are here!) If so, nice work.
Nice work on the army thing too.
